Lou Ann Steely

Since she was a young girl, Lou Ann Steely always knew she wanted to be a piano teacher.  While attending Cumberland College (now known as the University of the Cumberlands) in Williamsburg, KY, she accompanied voice lessons, recitals, and choirs as part of her workstudy requirements.  After she graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, she taught piano lessons for 34 years until she retired in 2013.  During this time she worked part-time for local high schools as their choir accompanist for their concerts and graded festivals.  Lou Ann also served as the church pianist for 22 years at First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, KY.

Lou Ann and her husband Dallas (Butch) Steely retired to Key West in the Fall of 2013.   Since retirement, they have loved cruising to different parts of the world. They both love gardening and are active members of the Key West Garden Club. But most of all, they love the people, the food, and the arts of this island, and love being able to call it home!

Lou Ann enjoyed singing with the Keys Choral Arts the last few years, and is looking forward to participating in a new capacity.
